Paint the town black!

a few days ago, i could have killed miss lim for signing me and evonne up for this weebiz course which teaches primary kids on the hows to start a hopefully successful business of their own.
we had to go to geylang methodist primary.
the idea of waking up early to face a classful of grouchy p6-xers didnt really thrill me at first.
but now, after these two(i've rounded up the hours) days with them, i wanna hug miss lim for giving me the opportunity to meet such cool, cheeky and witty kids.
heres how it went.
day one:
met at geylang meth.
the whole group of us trooped down to the conference room.
i noted the cheerful murals which were at every wall of the school, every corner, every staircase.
-_-
there, we were briefed on their purpose of dragging us down early in the morning and one word came to my mind-babysitting.
free of charge, not to mention.
oh goody, the day was getting better and better, i thought sarcastically then.
besides no one really seemed very enthu about the whole thing,
amirul was busy buffing his nails, working his way slowly to achieving the shiniest nails on earth, file by file,
evonne was busy freaking out over the event which included darren going to the podium,
faris was practically snoring,
and basically, everyone else wore expressions which suggested that they wanted to be anywhere else but there.
at the classes, we split up and i walked over to this seemingly harmless group.
was i ever wrong.
that group included a tigeress and two jokers which one of them was rumoured to like every girl in class.
right-o.
i then shifted my attention to evonne's group, which consisted of quiet girls huddling over a piece of paper.
good sign.
i went there and introduced myself and i asked for their names.
and one of them, the designer in the group smartly said, "dont want tell you."
and the rest of them started giggling.
ohhhh boy.
so basically, the rest of the day was spent wisely trying to get them to tell us their names and trying to find out their names on our part.
take this incident for example.
designer: "eh got worksheet leh."
rest: "huhhhh."
evonne and : "aha! now you gotta write your names on the worksheet!!"
designer: *shocked*
i: "aha! cornered! cornered!"
designer: "teacher, must we write name?"
teacher: "dont need."
designer smiles smugly while the rest of the group dissolved into giggle fits.
how about this one.
when a piece of paper came for them to write out their roles and names, i had to chase them around the class just to peek at it.
mission impossible.
those kiddies had the upper hand especially when the designer threatened to strangle me.
oh no, not my wonderful neck!
after that session with them, evonne and i liked them, ALOT.
what can i say? they are fun kiddies.
and the questions they fired at us. omg. horrible. so kaypoh.

second day(today):
we arrived back at 6 patience with much anticipation for a fun filled time working with them again.
and the elation of finally knowing their names filled our souls.
until, we saw that they had cleverly covered their iron-on names with their role badges.
how smart.
the designer even covered hers with scotchtape as an extra precaution.
omg, where did this kid come from?!
finally, they relented and took off their badges revealing their names.
at last! the long awaited moment of truth!
here are their names.
xinyi
janice
woon lynn
emily
elizabeth
and zhi something.
cant really remember.
(sorry!)
for your info, the clever designer was woon lynn.
-_-
as we waited for their turn for a meeting with the teacher, we talked about all sorts of things ranging from the supernatural to aggregate scores to boyfriends.
and when they saw amirul pinching petrina...
their reactions were BIG.
"eh! they stead ah?!"
"haha! the girl so short!"
"why he pinch her?!"
"eeeee pervert!"
"haha! the girl so short!"
"how come she like him?!"
"PERVERT!"
"haha! the girl so short!"
"Evonne jie-jie, that boy sooooo cute. You and him very pei leh"
and more questions and outbursts like these rang out from them.
and when we told them that this kind of thing is to be expected from amirul, their jaws dropped and they swore never to come to TK. haha.
such wonderful kids.
DM is asking us to write a reflection about our experience there.
i think that i could write ten pages of it,
just talking about the zany creative genius inc. group.

Who just oggled at the cute and pervertic boy named Amirul

such great kids. =]
